Hello! Now that the counterpoint course is completed, I will be returning to the idea of monthly themes for the Musicianship Workshop and my various other resources and events. The theme for July will be orchestration - literally, the process of writing for an orchestra. But it's really a more general term having to do with arranging a composition for multiple instruments and all the decisions you have to make about which instruments play which notes at which time. Orchestration is a huge...

I know that a number of folks are still working on their fugues and I hope to be able to take a look at some more this week, but don't worry if you still need more time. I will...

Hello! Thanks to those of you who informed me of an issue with some of the links in last week's newsletter. A couple of those links were still using my old site domain name masteringmusescore.com instead of outsideshore.com, and while I had originally set things up so the old addresses would forward to the new ones, this actually broke last week. I have since fixed this, both so the links in the newsletter go to the new site, and so links to the old site forward automatically again. At least...

BTW, the mobile apps also just got an update, finally (!) supporting MuseScore 4 files.I’m also launching a second Office Hours session at a somewhat later time, to try to accommodate...
